MINIATURE POTTERY VESSEL SET

This group of miniature vessels is exhibited in the Archaeological Museum, Universalmuseum in Graz, Austria.
They are miniature copies of much larger vessel types, which were found in burial mounds as grave goods.

They were usually attributed to the graves of individuals identified as people of high social status.
The vessel are decorated with graphite painting, which was very popular during the Early Iron Age.

The vessels can be dated from the 7th to mid 6th century BC.
